Tikal is one of the most recognized places in Guatemala because of the ancient history behind it. This place is mostly known for its Mayan culture, with still having the ruins and being in the middle of a forest. There still is the Lost World Pyramid and other palaces and the Temple of the Grand Jaguar, also the sites they used for ceremonies. These pyramids are there since 600 B.C. and it is one of the few Unesco World Heritage Center and it is very valuable for the country and its citizens. In order to get to this place, you'll have to park kinda far and have to walk to the site and go through the forest with a guide because of some animals you can encounter but they are somewhat friendly, you will mostly see monkeys which at sometimes will throw stuff at you.

A Bit of Guatemala
Guatemala is a beautiful country in Central America, full different types of Flora and Fauna. This country is big on agriculture, they are known by their mass production of coffee (A good portion from Starbucks coffee is from Guatemala) as also their sugar, bananas, palm oil, and rubber. There are also approximately 37 volcanoes, many of them are dormant, there are few that are active. Guatemala is the home of the Mayans, all of their ruins are still available for tours and are protected by the government and the citizens. Guatemala has 22 different languages the main language spoken is Castellano (Spanish), the other languages are Mayan languages, the two most spoken Mayan language is the Xinca and the Garifuna.
Intro
The reason why I personally chose to blog about Guatemala is because it is a country many people do not know about, and if they do is because of the bad things the news show about them. This country is beautiful and has a lot of history behind and it is also the country the I adore because it is my home country. I am trying to make people see the beauty and probably motivate them to visit the country. This is a small country but with hard working people and is a country that has gone through many natural disasters and have overcome it.
